On June 6, Professor Liu Dong, Dean of the School of Food and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Shenzhen Polytechnic; Professor Li Yonghong, Vice Dean; Associate Professor Liu Ran, Director of the Pharmacy Program; and Professor Zhang Lijun, Director of the Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Program, visited Shenzhen Cell Valley Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for exchange. Shenzhen Cell Valley Chairman Professor Shi Yuanyuan, Chief Scientist Professor Wang Jianxun, and Assistant to the Chairman Wei Zheng extended a warm welcome. The two parties held symposium discussions on planned cooperation directions and specific content.

Assistant to the Chairman Wei Zheng led the delegation from the School of Food and Pharmaceutical Sciences on a tour of the company, providing an initial understanding of the founder team, corporate culture, development history, and platform development.

During the symposium, Chairman Professor Shi Yuanyuan first introduced the company's basic situation, core products, application services, technological advantages, and comprehensive strength to the delegation. The two parties then discussed in-depth cooperation in joint talent cultivation within the university-enterprise cooperation model. They unanimously agreed that prioritizing talent cultivation and strengthening industry-academia-research cooperation requires close collaboration between universities and enterprises. They emphasized the need to enhance communication and exchange in areas including education and training systems, research capability improvement, and professional technical application. At the same time, in establishing talent cultivation platforms, both parties should jointly leverage their respective strengths and share quality resources to cultivate high-quality talent for cell therapy-related fields, injecting new vitality into Shenzhen and the nation's related sectors.

About the School of Food and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shenzhen Polytechnic

The School of Food and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Shenzhen Polytechnic focuses on the development needs of strategic emerging industries such as biomedicine and broader health in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It offers four programs: Food Quality and Safety, Food Nutrition and Health, Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology. Among these, Food Quality and Safety is a first-batch national exemplary specialty, a key specialty under the Ministry of Education's Higher Vocational Education Innovation Action Plan (2015-2018), a provincial exemplary specialty, and a Category II brand specialty. The Pharmacy program is a provincial key specialty and a provincial first-class high-level specialty.

In recent years, the school has led over 470 national, provincial, and municipal projects, including 14 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 36 provincial and ministerial-level research projects, with cumulative research funding of 120 million yuan. It has published over 1,000 high-level papers in domestic and international academic journals, been granted 174 patent authorizations, led the research of 21 national and industry standards, and received 1 second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and 5 first prizes of provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards.
